Few things are more important to me than making sure that the kids are equipped with a strong academic foundation and the knowledge that they will be rewarded for hard work! This summer we worked on reading and writing and it shows...the girls both won their school's Golden Pencil Award this week!! This award is given for good penmanship and story writing...proof that whatever you put into the kids you get out of them...GOTTA GET CRACKIN ON THAT MATH!!!

HARD WORK PAYS OFF...IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

YOU KNOW YOUR KID IS AN ARTIST WHEN
Beside the obvious clues...YOU KNOW YOUR KID IS AN ARTIST WHEN they live to CREATE...the only thing that calms them down is the opportunity to dance, sing, write, draw, color or paint....or when the thought of not doing any of the above (...on account of a flipped card...kindergarten-speak for a reprimand) sends them into a state of shock...so much so that they go to bed without a fight!
